The North American finals of the Apex Legends Global Series were delayed due to a mid-match hack targeting two players. Easy Anti-Cheat has released a statement asserting that there is no Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability within its software, which was exploited in the attack.

During the third match of the day, the initial hack targeted Noyan "Genburten" Ozkose from DarkZero. He unexpectedly gained the ability to visualize every other player on the map, even through obstacles. Consequently, he was compelled to withdraw from the match, although his teammates managed to secure second place despite being short one player. The subsequent hack unfolded in the following match, affecting Phillip "ImperialHal" Dosen from TSM, who suddenly found himself equipped with an aimbot. As a result, the match was called off, and the North American finals were postponed due to concerns about the compromised competitive integrity of the series.
