    Introduction

Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll present today's edition of Travel Digest. Congratulations to all the 24 curated posts for today! You all get 3 tickets each for our Winter Challenge. Take note that you can get up to a maximum of 7 tickets per day for this challenge. You get an additional ticket if your post is winter-related and another ticket if you promote this travel digest or any curated post via Snaps.

I have special reasons why I chose the salt pans of Sant'Antioco, Italy, the lake in Shigatse, Tibet, China, and the municipality of Veere, Netherlands. If you're a fan of NatGeo magazine, you'll get what I mean. However, special mention to the winter trail in Austria, the husky sledding in Finland, the Christmas market in Dresden, Germany, an island in the Canary Islands, Spain, a viewpoint in Malaga, Spain, and a gorge in Slovenia. Those are also equally deserving to be in the top spot. Enjoy and keep on pinning your travel posts to the map!

All featured posts are visible on the Editors Choice Map and upvoted by @worldmappin, our curation trail, and potentially @blocktrades. For more travel digests check out #traveldigest.

🥇 Conquering a sparkling salt mountain in South Sardinia! by @alecaltab

Today, I want to tell you about a very ancient and fascinating place I recently had the chance to visit. It’s the salt pans of Sant’Antioco, whose history dates back more than three thousand years. In addition to being the oldest continuously inhabited town in Italy, this small city was one of the major metropolises of the western Mediterranean during the Phoenician era and owed part of its wealth to salt.

🥈 Journeying into Tibet (Part 3 - Yamdrok Yumtso Lake and Shigatse) by @vaynard86

Greetings to everyone from the World Map Pin community, thank you for all the comments and support from my first and second post I from the past two weeks on my journey into Tibet. In the last post, I had a sharing that includes the journey into Lhasa, the beautiful capital of Tibet which allowed us to cross two amazing mountains for breathtaking sights of the Tibetan highlands. In today's post, I departed Lhasa and headed west towards Shigatse a prefecture-level city, which is commonly known as Gateway to Everest. On the journey towards Shigatse, I also visited the majestic Yamdrok Yumtso Lake as seen in my cover photo, which is one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet.

🥉 A Calm Retreat at Veere, Zeeland | Netherlands by @fernwehninja

Compared to the urban side of the Netherlands,I noticed that the people here are friendlier, open, and social. I appreciate the kindness and welcoming atmosphere, which contribute to a safe and pleasant neighborhood.

Although not so many shopping centers around when it comes to clothing store or high-end brands or boutique, however, you'll gonna encounter nature that I took from different times and days. The architecture is also unique giving off a vintage ambiance.
