Everything happened as I expected. All January we had absolutely spring weather and it couldn't end well. My trees decided that it was time to loosen the leaves (fortunately they didn't have time to do it). The first spring flowers also decided that their time had come. Definitely none of them are interested in weather forecasts!
When it started to get cold a few days ago, the hope that everything would be limited to this small cold snap was still alive. Even yesterday, when there was a little snow in the morning, hope was still timid. Today it was finally buried. A thick layer of wet heavy snow covered my garden. It ruthlessly pressed the stems of flowers to the ground, which risked disturbing the natural order and appearing in winter and not in spring. Tree branches can also barely withstand the weight of this snow.
I won't be surprised if the same March is waiting for us. The climate has not only changed. The seasons have shifted in time, confused with each other and now it is not very clear what and how to plan in the garden. I'll probably take care of seedlings in containers, it's the safest. We need to audit the seeds and buy the necessary ones. In the end, spring will come anyway.
